Got the new car! (finally).
It’s a long story, but a month ago while parked in Randwick our car was “taken out” by a “P” plate driver who blew well over the legal limit (zero). The gist of it all was that the insurance company wrote it off, & since it was under two years old we had the option of getting it totally replaced (which we took – who wouldn’t!).
Today we picked up the new one. I got to pick the colour this time!
Below are pictures of the “crash scene” taken by Mike the next morning (thanks Mike!). If you click on the long shot showing the whole scene then it will bring up a larger version. The Celica is what hit us. In the long photo you can see the Celica on the left hand side. This is where we were parked. The black vehicle wasn’t there! So we’ve been shunted (in park & the handbrake on) around 10-12m into the Toyota Ute which was shunted into a BMW X5 – all of which can be seen on the right hand side of the photo.
